- Thursday, prior to today, received a letter from the Head of Art at my secondary school, when I got home. Could not wait to reply via email as it seemed very promising!
- Day started 9am.
- Sent an email, replying to the letter I received from school regarding my placement.
- Hosptital appointment betwwen 11:45am - 1pm.
- Looked at CV templates online in order ti help write my own CV.
- Completed typing script for Chapter 5.
- Day ended 3:45pm.
Tuesday 1st November 2011
- Day started 9:30am.
- Typed my first draft of CV, using one of the templates I found online the day before.
- 10:50am - Had a one-to-one tutorial with Ruth regarding Pro-Practice Module. Showed her letter and she was happy that I got a placement already.
- Ruth looked at my first draft of the my programme and gave some pointers to work on.
Met Rita and felt sorry for her as she still struggling to find a placement. It looked like I was the only one who found one. Nevertheless, she was pleased with me.
- Completed script for Chapter 6 and 7.
- Day ended 3:45pm.
Thursday 3rd November 2011
- Day started 9:30am.
- Completed Chapter 8 and 9 (end of first 'episode').
Had a discussion on the language used. Definitely no swearing. Vaux was going to say words like 'ain't' and probably 'damn', but even though my Graphic novel is aimed at teens and above, it was decided that the language used should also teach the readers the right words to use.
- After lunch, another lecture with Jane McAllistair looking at CVs and Covering Letters.
- Jane had a look at my first draft CV and helped me be put on the right track.
- Day ended at 4pm.
